Excellent and easy lunch spot to go with groups. Order inside (lobster rolls/fish tacos/whatever you like), grab a beer, and head outside to one of the tables (sit anywhere you want). Busy place but worth it.

Wildly popular restaurant and reservations are a must. People watching galore. Recommend booking months in advance for any group size. Approximately 20-25 min drive from the house including the time on the Shelter Island ferry (you need a car).

Must pick up a pie here either on your way out or on your way to the North Fork. Chocolate cream pie is the best (IMO), but plenty of others to choose from. Heavily frequented by North Fork or Hamptons locals.

People drive from all over the North Fork to grab ice cream here, and it’s worth it. In the summer the lines are long, but they move quick. This is near Love Lane in Mattituck.

If you’re in the North Fork for a while, and find yourself craving Chinese food you definitely have options across the towns, depending where you are. Jan’s is well worth the trek to Mattituck if you have time. Unanimously the best Chinese food take out in the North Fork.
