This is walking distance from Nerina street, and is useful for basics. However if you are looking for more upmarket household supplies, you may want to try a Pick n Pay or a Woolworths. I also really like the Checkers in Rondebosch which has good fruit, meat and veg as well as a great range of household basics. This is listed here too.

The Myciti Bus has two stops in Roodebloem Road - one at Balfour which is close to Nerina Street. This route goes down to the Salt River station, and then into the centre of the city. It could be handy.
