This is an amazing sandy beach, when the tide is out it seems to go forever. There are two ways to get there from here, you can walk the trail past the falls and the lagoon, or you can drive to the stairs, but parking at the stairs is very limited.

This isthmus is a 7 minute drive from here. It is a wonderful place to view Victoria, the Olympic Mountains and the Salish Sea (Juan de Fuca Straight) and all of the weather that comes with it.

This pebbly beach is nice to walk on and enjoy the weather and the view of the Olympic Mountains.

This castle has a history worth looking into. Many movies have been filmed there over the years. It is also the campus of Royal Roads University and overlooks the Esquimalt Lagoon.

We are so lucky to have the best restaurant in town just 2 km from here. Open 6 days a week for eat in or take out! Great food, generous portions with a large variety of choices.

City/town information
A 30 minute drive and you are at the Legislative buildings and all that downtown Victoria offers. They say it is a bit of old England with double decker tour busses and architecture from the 1800's. Many restaurants and arts/festivals to experience in the city year round.

Langford is the closest city to the Metchosin Hill House. It is a 10 minute drive. 12 minutes to Costco on the north side.
