Cloud 9 is a very short walk from the boat. At the top of the Embassy Suites Hotels, it has fabulous views of the Cape Fear River. Overlooks the Port City Marina and the Southern Cross. Sometimes has live music. Great seating arrangements with gas firepits. Casual atmosphere and good pizza. If you want something fancier, there is another restaurant in the same building (Steamers).

An easy 20 minutes away by car, you can hit the sand and the waves at Wrightsville Beach. Parking can be difficult during the busy summer months, but it's worth the trip!

If you're staying on the Southern Cross, you simply must check out the "River Walk". It would be shame not to! The boat is literally tied up a few yards from the walk.
