Very Cowboy! Split logs, a grizzly bear on the roof, antler chandeliers-fireplace inside & a small waterfall outside next to charming outdoor patio.Not cheap but worth the drive just for breakfast!

Terrific food at reasonable price. Vietnamese/Thai/Asian fusion. Husband/wife owned. Not only delicious but beautiful presentation. One of my favorites!

Beautiful, jewel of a garden, right on the ocean. Lots of quiet spots 4 meditation & prayer. Koi ponds. Small! But worth the trip! A shop with gifts from around the world just across the street.

Historical, lovely, nice place to walk around. They have ice skating by the ocean in winter :) Wizard of Oz is based on this beautiful and iconic hotel!

A favorite for locals, WONDERFUL farmers market on Wednesday afternoon/evenings. Live music & many vendors as well as food. Many old hippies lying around. Nice pier to walk on with cafe & tacos!

One of my most treasured parts of San Diego. Beautiful Botanical garden, great for walking. Educational. Love the Orangutans especially. The Skyfari allows you to fly over the vast jungle and provides views of California Tower and downtown.
