Visingsö is the island in the middle of lake Vättern, accessible by ferry every half-hour from the Gränna harbor. The ferry takes 20 minutes. Hike or bike (rental) on the island. You can also bring the car but it is less fun and it will cost you.

Gränna city is worth a 2-3 hour walk through parts of the city.
Check out Brahegatan (=touristic main street) Bergsgatan (= upper parallel to the main street with many pretty houses and gardens and where the tourists don’t go, both south and north of the church(!), Grännaberget/Gränna mountain (= climbing 200 staircase steps above the village, fantastic view, unforgettable sunsets!)

Gränna city is worth a 2-3 hour walk through parts of the city.
Check out Brahegatan (=touristic main street) Bergsgatan (= upper parallel to the main street with many pretty houses and gardens and where the tourists don’t go, both south and north of the church(!), Grännaberget/Gränna mountain (= climbing 200 staircase steps above the village, fantastic view, unforgettable sunsets!)
You can see this tower from the house on the hill, far away across the lake, about 4 km north. If you are not scared for heights and it is a reasonable clear day, then climb the tower staircase and enjoy the most magnificent view in the region. Wonderful forests and trails around it. Lots of mushrooms to pick in the season.

You can see this tower from the house on the hill, far away across the lake, about 4 km north. If you are not scared for heights and it is a reasonable clear day, then climb the tower staircase and enjoy the most magnificent view in the region. Wonderful forests and trails around it. Lots of mushrooms to pick in the season.
