Lucky Garden is just a walk down the hill and is an old neighbourhood commercial area full of local restaurants, streetfood and a daily morning street market. Come here for affordable grocery-shopping at the TMC stores which include a bakery, butcher’s and wine and liquor store.

The Telawi square is a short walk downhill (the other end of Lucky Garden) and is famous for local nightlife. Lots of restaurants, bars and cafes frequented by locals and expats alike. The upmarket Bangsar Village shopping centre is here and on Sundays there is the evening market or “Pasar Malam” for local grub, fresh fruit and veggies
