This area has more than 5 supermarkets, public services, pets hospital, stores, movie theater, grocery, San Fernando Hospital, banks and more. San Carlos has been the beach lifestyle area from the 70s for retirement or people who can live outside the city.

Arraiving to Panama
Welcome to the country that links American Continent. You can find several places to visit like the city, beaches and mountains. In less than two hours from the airport you will find the Caribbean or the Pacific Coast. Panama has a tropical climate with raining season from May to January and dry season from January to May. Getting around Panama depends of where you are and where you would Like to go. Inside the city you can have access to metro, uber, taxi and tourism transportation. If you want to visit beaches or mountains outside the city you can opt for public or private transportation.

Panama is the tropic. Bring your flip flops, top tank and shorts. Fresh cotton clothing. Don’t forget sun block and a bottle of water

Useful phrases
Look like a local. Panamanian speaks a Spanglish way to communicate. That’s funny. You can say “Que Xopa” to say hello. Its mean “Whats up” or words like “priti” to say something is “pritty” the same like “cool” or “charcot” to say “shortcuts” . But everybody knows what “thank you” means.

This is a great part of Panama. We are in the middle of the continent with so many cultures included. You can find almost all the gastronomy experiences from the world, the influence comes from the USA, French and African people due the History, is a special mix of things. You will find a lot of chinese people as well the customs of those kind of nationality.

If you are staying in the city you can easily use the Metro or Uber.
If you are going out from the city, like the beaches or mountains for example we recommend you rent a car, uber (could be expensive) or contact us for a private driver.

What to eat
This is a honest advice: Supermarket is not so cheap at all but it's more expensive to eat out in a restaurant. Panama has the "Fondas" where you can find local food for less than $5. A supermarket for a family of 4 you can spend around $200 (depends of the supermarket) If you are going out in a "fancy" restaurant you can easily spend $100 or $50 for 2 people.
