This is our favorite place to hang out at night on the mall. Legend has it that Dave Matthew got hist start here when he was a bus boy and was discovered during an open mic night. They also have one of the largest outdoor cafe seating areas on the mall. Lastly, legendary Jazz trumpeter often plays here and it's always FREE!

Great place to visit in Afton which is about a 20 minute drive from Cville. They have a tasting room located at a beautiful mountainside vineyard.

This historic non-profit theater is the best place in town to see a show! I worked here for 10 years and it's one of Cville's most prized gems. If they don't have an event scheduled during your visit, they also offer free tours every week.

Endless trail heads for hiking, camping, bird watching, etc. One of our favorite spots is Old Rag Mountain. it's a 3,284 feet mountain near Sperryville in Madison County, Virginia and part of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the peak is located within Shenandoah National Park and is the most popular hiking destination within the park.

A visit to Charlottesville isn't complete without a stop at the Downtown Mall. It is one of the most beautiful and successful pedestrian malls in the nation, and it's located in historic downtown Charlottesville. A wonderful mix of restored and renovated buildings that typified small "downtowns" throughout the country can now be seen by visitors as they enjoy shopping, dining and visiting along the brick-paved pedestrian area.
The Downtown Mall is a vibrant collection of more than 120 shops and 30 restaurants (many with outdoor cafes) housed in the historic buildings on and around old Main Street.
