Scenic Natural Places & Outdoor Activities
The Bashakill wetland, is a sort after recreational haven offering sublime canoeing adventures. Floating amidst the expansive wetland with water lilies, sky reflections and a mountainous backdrop, visitors are often in awe. The wetland also offers desirable fishing, walking trails and birdwatching (Bald eagles among many others can be found nesting here). The wetland is just at the bottom of the road, 7 mins away. There’s a canoe at the Water House with a simple mounting set up for easy transportation.
There are two great entry points to the wetland see the attached map:
