One of the best beach places to view the sunset. Hence the name. Get there early so you can find a spot to park . Then you need to pick the best viewing spot on the cliffs.

This taco shop is within walking distance. It is recommended by Guy Fiere, the food critic from the show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” I recommend any of their combination plates. They come with chips, salsa and a drink. It is dine in or dine out.

It has the freshest and best southern and or soul food around. It is noted for its fresh catfish plate. They open at 11 and stay open until 7 Mon thru Wend. They are closed on Thursday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday they open at 12 pm and stay upon till they run out. I haven’t eaten anything there I did not like.

This is one of the fanciest restaurants in my guidebook. This is the La Mesa location. It is off the 8 fwy going east from the house. They have an excellent happy hour. You can sit at the bar or patio and get some of the Brigantine’s best foods for 1/2 the price. The happy hour prices are $6 at the time of this writing 6/22. I especially like the house salad and the calamari.

They have a meal for two that can feed a family of four. They are reasonably priced. They also have a small bar on the premises. You can get pizza with appetizers at the bar area with a beer or glass of wine. Great homage sausages!
Dog park
A place to take your dog where you can take the dog off the leash and let him run and play with other dogs.
Canine Corners dog park is located within this park. It has three enclosed spaces where you can ring your dog and remove their leash . The areas are broke down by size large, medium and small. They have water there for the dogs. It was one of the only park open during Covid.
