A short walk from our guest house and you're on the West County Regional Trail (aka Joe Rodota Trail). It follows the old rail line that connected Santa Rosa to Forestville. Great place to walk your dog or ride a bike.

20 minutes away is the beautiful California coast and the town of Bodega Bay. made famous by the Alfred Hitchcock film, THE BIRDS, this quaint town hugging the coast is a great place to walk on the beach and eat fresh seafood. But the secret is out, so weekends can be crowded, and be sure to bring an extra layer (or two) since it can be chilly and windy most days.

A short drive from our guest house is Handline, a restaurant that specializes in local, California coastal cuisine. Great outdoor seating and very dog friendly. The food is always fresh and tasty and they have a great local selection of beers and wines.

The best BBQ oysters in town is a 30 minute drive away. Nick's Cove is a must visit spot along the coast, with fresh seafood and beautiful views of Tomales Bay.
