The Shore Lodge is a beautiful updated lodge within walking distance of the cabin. Lunch can be had on a patio overlooking the dock area. If you have a boat on the lake, stop on by and dock the boat and enjoy a great lunch. The more formal dining area was remodeled this past fall (Fall 2017) and I have not tried it since it reopened. The bar has great views of the lake and a fantastic wine list.

The Shore Lodge is a beautiful updated lodge within walking distance of the cabin. Lunch can be had on a patio overlooking the dock area. Best sandwiches in McCall. Call ahead, I have never figured out their hours. It is worth it when you can grab a sandwich to go and enjoy it at one of the parks around the lake.

During the summer, this backstreet ice cream shop is the best non secret in McCall. This is a must stop if you have kids and find yourself in downtown McCall.

Drinks & Nightlife
Great place to grab a cold drink and listen to music on the weekends during the day (late afternoon during the summer only). Not a bad place to stop in after a ride around the lake or even a quick ride to town. Sit on the south side and rate everyone launching and retrieving boats.

Road is paved except for last 2 miles from turnoff of Warren Wagon Road (those 2 miles are good gravel road). Natural Hot Springs with a gravel bottom. Bring your drinks/cooler and lunch/snacks. Loon Lake Loop: 10.5-mile loop with little elevation gain. World War 2 B-23 Dragon Bomber crash site at far edge of Loon Lake. The trail is out of the Chinook Campground parking area about 40 miles north of McCall on the Warren Wagon Road. Great hike or Mountain Bike ride. The hike has rolling terrain so there is elevation gain and loss. Another option is an out and back on the Secesh River trail. 3.5 mile each direction from parking area to the Secesh river crossing foot bridge.

For a fun change of pace when mounting biking, ride down the lake side of the mountain (trail spur at the Lakeview lift), and continue down the road back to McCall.
