A pretty village 20 minutes drive from Whitby. When the steam trains are running a great place to view, and the quaint station with cafe and gift shop. Also in the village cafes and gift shops plus some good pubs for eating. Pay and display parking in the village car park. This village was used to film a popular series "Heartbeat" so there is plenty of evidence of this to see. Walk to the "Mallyan Spout" a pretty waterfall or "Beck Hole" which has a tiny pub.
