Less than a two hour drive, Bearizona is approximately 160 acres. Visitors will drive through more than three miles of Ponderosa Pine Forest viewing North American animals in natural habitats when they visit. More animals are exhibited in Fort Bearizona, a beautiful 20 acre walk-thru area, along winding paths which is more of a "zoo" type setting.

About a two hour drive from Munds Park, the Petrified Forest is best known for its ancient trees that have crystallized over 225 million years into rainbow colors. The park also features fossils from huge 18-foot crocodile-like creatures known as Phytosaurs, as well as remnants from 13,000 years of human history, including the remains of villages, tools, and grinding stones. A 28-mile road runs through the park, offering a number of short hiking trails into the diverse landscape of wild grasslands and Painted Desert vistas and colorful badlands.

About a 30 minute drive to Flagstaff and you'll be at the Lowell Observatory! History and Science come together! Guided tours of the historic campus give visitors a chance to explore the famous path Clyde Tombaugh took the night he discovered Pluto. Experience the cosmos though widescreen multimedia shows, exhibits, and live presentations. Daily safe viewing of the Sun and nightly stargazing are offered during favorable weather.
