This was Winston Churchill's home. The house is well preserved and the grounds are lovely. It's a 15 minute drive from Oxted.
Hever Castle was built 700 years ago and was the home of Anne Boleyn. It is everything a castle should be - turrets, two moats, a drawbridge, a yew-hedge maze, rose gardens, a lake. The castle and grounds are immaculately maintained and it is well worth a visit. It's also got fun stuff for kids. Take a picnic or eat there.
