Brasilito beach runs next to the town of Brasilito and continues north closer to our house. The northern part, in front of Isla Loros, is alway very quiet and good for relaxing, swimming and fishing.

Tamarindo is Guanacaste's most famous beach for surfing. The beach is beautiful and alway filled with surfers, but never too crowded. There are many places for lessons and surf rentals. Clothing boutiques, beachside bars and restaurants and grocery shopping are all abundant in Tamarindo.
Parque Tenorio, and the extraordinary Rio Celeste, is just 2.5 hours from our home. If your schedules allows, the hike through the park is stunning. The Rio Celeste is its' famous turquoise color when the weather is clear, but any day is still worth the visit.

This is a wonderful store for imported European specialities. They have the best cheese selection, dried fruit, spices and wine of any store around. They close early, 5pm.

There are a few local car rental places. If you are coming from Liberia airport, you could rent from any of the car rentals there. We are about and hours drive from Liberia airport. A four wheel drive car is highly recommended so that you can navigate dirt roads if you choose to do so.
