My husband and I love this small Vietnamese restaurant that is only 8 minutes from the house. We had never tried Pho or bubble tea and when we did, we LOVED it. We are kind of obsessed with this place and the people who run it. If you've never tried it and are feeling adventurous I definitely recommend this place!

This place was made out of the old train station which is just plain awesome! Make sure you stop by for brunch because you will not be disappointed!

Ya'll this is a local staple. If you have seen the building with the hotdog, hamburger, french fries, and big tea on it go here now. They have the best fast food around and honestly they need to go national! My favorite thing to get here is at breakfast, they're called cheddar rounds and they are heavenly!

This place has amazing coffee! A tip for this place is to NEVER use the drive-thru. Always go in, the atmosphere is wonderful and the view of the mountains out the front windows is wonderful!

Visit an active fossil dig site dating back 5 million years and enjoy exhibits and programs featuring the plant and animal fossils that have been unearthed at the site, including a 16-ton mastodon!

It is located in what we call the Pinnacle which has many different shops and restaurants to make an evening out of the trip.
This is one of my favorite day trips me and my husband take! Its about a 2 hour drive so we get up around 8 am and head out toward Piegon Forge, TN! Dollywood opens at 10 am and we hit the coasters, see the amazing shows, and eat the best country cooking ever!

This park is so much fun! If you love to hike, bike, play disk golf, rent a boat, kayak, or stand up paddle board this is the place for you! They have an amazing playground and many places to set up for a picnic around a lake!

Everyone has heard of the Appalachian Trail right? Well the AT goes around the lake and it will be one of the most beautiful lakes you have ever seen. This is quite a drive but it's so worth the scenery and possibly a good hike if you're up to it!

If you are looking for a day trip and an amazing hike to the most beautiful spot (I think) on the blue ridge parkway go here! It's a fairly easy hike 1 mile to be exact to an amazing view for fantastic pictures!
