Only place to get proper cheese (especially if you are from Europe, sorry North America doesn't understand cheese and even if it's labelled "cheese" in the grocery store it's not made like cheese, so i recommend this place if you require cheese).

Coolest neighbourhood (other than Parkdale). Go vintage clothes shopping. Get fresh fruit, bulk food, spices, cheese (real cheese!), bakery items. Eat fancy vegan food. Then drink and dance at night. Go sit in the park with hippies. On select sundays the market is closed to cars and there's a big street party!

Sightseeing

This is the best thing about Toronto. Get a bicycle. Take it on the ferry ($8 round trip). Ride around all day. Watch the sun set. Best view of the skyline. There's a nude beach you can swim at. There are beautiful art cottages, the most coveted little homes in Toronto. A great getaway from the city. You'll be sad you have to leave.
