Þakgil is amazing. A flat valley, with jagged slopes rising up on all sides, covered by that beautiful velvet green brooks running down them. The landscape is very reminiscent of Þórsmörk.

Fjaðrárgljúfur is a magnificent and massive canyon, about 100 meters deep and about two kilometres long. The canyon has sheer walls, and is somewhat serpentine and narrow.
