The owner is incredibly friendly and if he's there, he will probably spend some time at your table. Also good for take-out as the restaurant is not very pretty.

Excellent beer selection (I always get a local porter) and surprisingly good food. The veggie burgers are notably tasty.

Incredible bahn mi (a tasty vietnamese sandwich), and for $3 a pop, it's well worth a visit. Willamette Week has called them the best bahn mi in the city.
