Gold Coast Cafe has an decent selection of beer and some wine as well as any other convenience store essentials to stock your fridge. There is a small Deli that serves sandwiches etc; the food isn't fantastic, and we'd recommend sticking with the egg sandwiches, but it's adequate if you're hungry.

Hands down the best dumplings in the city! Order the House Special and/or Shrimp & Chive. You won't be disappointed. But note it's a bit of a trek from our house and has little to no ambiance, so probably best to avoid for a date night

Not only a classic bar that feels like you've been transported back to the 20s, but a phenomenal restaurant as well! Great spot for a drink and a meal!

Our new neighborhood local! It's a great tavern with extensive local craft brews, cocktails, and great food...not to mention a dark, inviting atmosphere. It's 45 seconds from our door to theirs...worth it!

One of our favorite DC breweries, it's not far from our house although it is a bit off the beaten path amongst a bunch of old warehouses (so car or Uber is the best way to get there) but a great space, with some great beers.
