An easy and beautiful ferry ride to Watsons Bay Wharf, and directly across the road is the Hotel. Great place to have a nice lunch and some relaxing yummy cocktails or kick of after sunset for dinner and drinks.

Aside from Sydney CBD Chatswood would be my fave place to just shop there are two large Shopping Complexes, Chatswood Chase and Westfield, there are some excellent restuarants as well. Not very easy to get to via public transport but doable and easy by car
