The newer of the two forts is more interesting. Defening "Duce" in the 2nd world war. Production of Weppens within the mountain in the 2nd world war. A strategic point in the trinagle in between Switzerland, Italy, Austria (trough Valtelina). You can look at all of it and learn a lot about the second world war. Go there on a hot day, it is very cold in the mountain.

Very simple place to eat, half way to the Abbey with Food produced by the Monchs. No Adress, no Phone, just pass by. It is very simple, charming and undiscoverd. And very ITALIAN.

After you enter Dorio, search for a "Beach-Sign" and then park right afterwards, a superb beach on the lago and inbetween the traditional bushes of "Oleandro".
