Very nice little alternative coffee place right at the Zeedijk and start of the Nieuwmarkt.The second hand stuff that surrounds you is for sale.Some evenings they serve vegetarian food.

Also in the Jordaan right next to the Westertoren is the Anna Frank museum.For many people a must visit and it is indeed impressive as a reminder of the holocaust.

Zeedijk is one of the oldest area's of Amsterdam where in the old days sailors went after anchoring (to misbehave).It still has a nice roughness to it being close to the red light area.
