For the ocean, this along with Coast Guard are great beaches very close by for bathing, swimming and you can get a permit for a bonfire as well.

Before making the left into town off Rte 6, there is a tiny parking spot. If you walk through the tree covered path, you'll arrive at sea of sand dunes like nothing else.
