Bev's favorite is the seeded baguette, but the kid's can't get enough of the warm, freshly baked pretzels usually available after 11am.

A Danish Bakery with amazing selection of pastries both sweet and savory, bread, cookies, and their signature Kringle. There is so much to chose from it makes for some very hard decision making.

Entertainment & Activities

A great local movie theatre, with all the latest releases. Popcorn with real butter is always a family favorite to munch on during the show. What makes this cinema so special is that Bev went into labour with our son during the movie and we had to leave early. Still haven't seen the end of Charlie Wilson's War....

Without a doubt, one of the best bars in Ballard. If your looking for some Scottish charm, this bar has it all. With a restaurant attached we highly recommend the 'Chips with curry sauce' for the ultimate Scottish cuisine.

Sightseeing

One our families favorite things to do at the weekend is to go out walking around the neighborhood and the route that never fails to impress is down to the Locks. Located within a comfortable half hour walk, the Locks are not only free but it is also one of Seattles top ten tourist attractions. During the Summer months you can see large volumes of boats, everything from large yachts to dinghies travel through the Locks. Depending on the month you can see the five main Pacific Salmon travel through the fish ladder.
