The supermarket we always use: friendly people, low prices and good stuff. There is another one on the other side of the street, called Albert Hein. To bring back your groceries take one of the bags next to the dishwasher. Saves you 10 cents ;-)

The Westerpark a nice park for walking, jogging or just lying on the grass. There is big field next a waterside. If you take the path along side the water and turn right you'll find some outdoors workout places.
The old buildings in the middle of the park, which used to be a gas factory, offer a variety of places. You can go there for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks and some music. There is a jazz club and at Pacific Parc they often have a dj. And if you want, you can also go to the movies at the Ketelhuis (www.ketelhuis.nl).
