If you like donuts, you must try this place out. The Holy Donut has locations in Portland as well. Has gluten-free and vegan donut options. They close when they sell out.

This is a small restaurant down on the boat launch. They have some outdoor seating. Inside they have a fun bar made out of an old boat. You can watch fishermen coming in and out of the point and walk down on the water yourself. Great place to look for birds and about a 20 minute scenic walk from our place. Open seasonally.

They have a weekend brunch and lots of outdoor seating! Excellent margaritas.

This is a good spot to launch a kayak and do some sea paddling.
Extensive petting zoo, ice cream/cafe, sometimes they even have baby goat cuddling sessions!

Take the ferry from Portland out to Peaks Island. Plenty of places to eat and things to do. Visit the Umbrella Cover museum (this is a quirky one! https://www.umbrellacovermuseum.org/whatisanumbrellacover) or Fifth Maine (civil war) museum. (https://www.fifthmainemuseum.org/).

We loved doing this brewery tour. They have a nice gift shop and in-house bar where you can try several of their beers from the tap.
