Preveli Palm Beach is one of the most significant landscapes in Crete.
The tall, steep Kourtaliotiko Gorge meets the Libyan Sea and form a cool lagoon and sandy beach. Palms and oleanders create shade; a tropical paradise forest amidst the dry rocky Mediterranean terrain. The palms are Phoenix theophrastii and are unique to Crete.

Foteinari is a wonderful small beach and is located only 3 min. drive from our apartment!
Furthermore Foteiari is the only beach in the area which is NOT WINDY in case that in Plakias is.

Food Scene
Myrtios is a traditional village which offers a fantastic view to Plakias! The main village is not accessible by cars!You can only reach the lower level of the village with your car where the taverns located.
tip! Take a romantic walk inside the village, in the upper levels with stone pavements and traditional houses.
