Started by two Aussies, this coffee/bakery/breakfast joint is awesome!!! The coffee is SUPER STRONG, the breakfast options are delicious, and the baked goods are off the chart! Go EARLY or be prepared to wait! They also have a great grab and go window.

No explanation needed. There is a hiking trail that takes you up to the top of the Hollywood Sign with STUNNING views of all of LA. If you're adventurous it's DEFINITELY worth it.

The Santa Monica Pier and surrounding area is a GREAT place to spend the day. Lots of interesting characters to see, lots of shopping and places to eat, rent bikes and go up and down the coast, or venture out on to the pier where there is a classic carnival with rides and games.
