Food Scene

Just a walk around the corner you’ll discover a true NOLA French cafe, Tartine’s. The owners are husband and wife who met in culinary school in Paris. Coffee, scones, bagels and more are all on the menu. In fact, early in the morning guests can smell the baked treats from the oven. Great for breakfast and lunch. Brochures are available in the units.

So call ahead to make sure they have them, but if its crawfish season this would be the place to go for sure! If it's not crawfish season or they don't have them they DO have amazing poboys and oysters. Otherwise it's a complete 100 year old dive bar. I go for the crawfish. Also call ahead to make sure the kitchen isn't closed!

Parks & Nature

We are located just a block from Audubon Park! Guests can walk, bike, run or take a rest on the many park benches. Audubon Golf course is rated as one of the top public courses in the USA. The Audubon Zoo is a wonderful way to get in touch with nature. Visitors can spend time with monkeys and otters and even a white alligator in the Cajun section. Be sure to find the beautiful blue peacock bird moseying through the park. He often stops at one of the many cafes to show off his glorious feathers. Food at the cafes is very good. But don’t feed the animals!
