Its a nice little German restaurant that offers specialties from Bavaria (much better than the bigger Hofbräuhaus). And they brew their own beer. Perfect to sample some southern German specialties.

Rough looking burger joint right under the subway tracks. Very nice basic burgers, hiphop music, and a very urban feeling to it. Don't let the long lines put you off, its worth it!

Very cute little French cafe. Perfect place to have a nice breakfast on a sunny day outside watching people passing by the so-called "Casting Allee" (actually called Kastanienallee). And equally nice if its raining, since its so cozy.

This new restaurant is perfect for lunch: healthy bowls. The place is not too cozy, rather minimalistic, but nice on sunny days, since its a quiet little street.

They have plenty of fun things to buy. There is also a nice food market. Very touristy but still fun. In the summer time there is Karaoke at 15:00 every Sunday, amazing experience.

Nice local market with fresh products from the area. Nice food stands, try the Turkish Gözleme or sample free Falafel. Pretty busy, but in a very nice street and also frequented by locals, so worth a visit.

Parks & Nature

This is the old airport which has been turned into a public park. huge space, super fun in the summer to watch all the people doing their thing. There is also a small area where you can BBQ. And very close to nice parts of Kreuzberg and Neukölln .

Great place to hang out and play some boule on a sunny day. Its for free, so just organise some boule balls and bring beer bottles, there is no shop really close.

Interesting tour in the old prison of former German republics secret police. The tours are all held by former inmates, and they provide an interesting look into these dark times of Berlin history.
