Food Scene

Flavors are amazing; service excellent. One of the best restaurants in town. Our son worked there for 2 years which is how we got turned on to this place. On weekends call for reservation or sit at the bar for dinner.

BEST sushi in town! Small restaurant fills up fast; we like to go early at 5:45 so we don't have to wait. Or late at 8 pm.

Parks & Nature

Improved trail with gentle grade that takes you up the side of the mountain to Monticello. Good for all walking and hiking, but especially a good option for wet and rainy. Start at the bottom (there is extra parking on the main road near the highway, before you turn on Route 53), and walk 2 miles up to Monticello where you can access the bathroom, a cafe, explore the world-class exhibit and check out the Tourist shop.

This is the trail that can be accessed from our backyard. Just go down the stairs and proceed towards the creek. There you will see the worn path. Go left towards the west and you can pick up a paved trail. Go right towards the east and you can follow along the creek for about 2 miles. Trail maps and App are available at http://www.rivannatrails.org/page-952656

History is still relevant! Take several hours to explore the grounds and book a tour for visiting TJ's house. The garden is of great interest to us as are the older trees.
