The food is very good, and the restaurant sits right on the Homosassa River, with great views, some live music, check with the resturaunt.

MacRae's has everything you need for your stay: Boat Launch, Bait Shop, Sundry items, with a small grocery store up the street, Live Music at the "Shed", especially on Sundays, its the place to be.

This unique park has boat ride through some of our Florida hammocks and is actually two parts, the first part is on Hwy 19 and the second part is on Fishbowl Drive. Both parts are a must see for visitors. You will learn about our native species through interactive and walking exhibits, and you have to meet our resident Hippo.

By going to downtown Homosassa, you quickly get the feel that you are in a unique place, "Old Florida" and the difference between South Florida and North Central is vast. If you are looking for glitz and glamour, go somewhere else. You have to see it and feel it, and it is different for everyone. We have never had a guest complain about our little town, or our home.
