Drinks & Nightlife

Cactus club on the waterfront. Nice by the water and the atmosphere is very friendly and super accomodating staff and management. Everyone is well dressed and very attentive. The restaurant is right below the Yacht club and the boardwalk is right outside so after you have your drinks you can go for a nice walk along the spot where the boats are resting on the water.

Peachland is about 25 minutes from Kelowna with the greatest coffee shop and the best walk on a beach day or night its always serene and beautiful and peaceful. If you are here on the weekend there is always something going on with art or farmers markets on the weekend and not far away there is a waterfall and gentle hiking trail in a beautiful magical forest.

YES the okanagan has a Kangaroo Farm! Its a mini park and it is near other parks as well. If you are an early person its best to call ahead or check the website to see what times the Kangaroos are around. Its a very tranquille place with many other animals also and a time to check out the baby roo's. If you are gentle they might just let you baby bottle feed or hold the baby roo's. The baby's will warm your heart and make anyone smile and are super cuddly and usually are bundled up in a blanket ready for you to hold..soo adorable and memorable! Get your camera out for this kodak moment!

What is unique about Kelowna is that most of the shops and services are owner operated. Kelowna is a very seasonal place full of tourists and because of this the people that live here cannot depend on a job like they could if they lived in a city. Most jobs here are seasonal unless you work for the Government you are not guaranteed a steady paycheck, so this has created a cool shopping culture here full of people that ventured out to own a business with a cool story to go with it on how or why they started it. The owners of the shops love people and are super friendly and will make you feel at home. The best shopping for unique things is downtown and the mission near Sopa Square.

Arts & Culture

The staff is super educated and love sharing history and stories of the Okangan. The musuem if full of old artifacts and pictures showcasing the first orchards and wineries and its interesting to see how Kelowna has grown from a tiny little village into a great city. They will have pictures of what the town looked like in the beginning. Make sure to ask about the famous bridge and the ogopogo stories!

Getting Around

If you really want to see everything the okanagan has to offer you must rent a car or truck. The Okanagan consists of many little baby towns in between and they all have something really cool to offer. You can drive and stop every 20 minutes and see something new. One minute you will be in a lush forest, next minute you will be on a beach, and after that you could be in a desert. The terrain constantly changes and to see it all I recommend renting a vechile and also a bike that you can hitch on the vechile to go on the many biking trails that the valley offers.
