This is a local favorite (including one of ours). Casual restaurant that won't disappoint. They also have free Quesadilla's for kids, making it a great option for families with young children.

Let's face it, Salt Lake isn't known for it's fresh fish, but if you have a hankering for some sushi, Itto will usually hit the spot without breaking the bank. Try the firebird... it's our favorite.

If you are looking for a nice restaurant, Franck's is the place to go. It isn't cheap, nor is it very kid-friendly, but the food here is pretty amazing - especially the appetizers. Try the tomato pie and the brussels sprouts . If you don't love them, I'll refund your money!

Parks & Nature
This lake next to Brighton Ski resort has a boardwalk and trail all the way around it. Great for an outdoor adventure in the summer with the kids or if you're looking for a wheelchair accessible hike. This isn't accessible if there is still snow in the mountains.

Have kids but wanna get into the mountains? Try Lisa Falls. This is a short (.25 miles) and kid-friendly hike with a fun waterfall at the end. Pack some snacks and let the kids play in the pools at the base of the waterfall.

This is our favorite hike in Utah. It is a pretty steep hike and guaranteed to make you sweat! 3.5 miles in and 3.5 miles out with a consistent climb the whole way. Try it any time from late spring to autumn... it will blow your mind!

Wheeler Farm is a great place to take the kids or to go for a walk/jog. Awesome trails, farm animals to see/pet, cows to milk, playground for the kiddos.

Entertainment & Activities
Brighton is our favorite Ski Resort. This resort has the best snow (far better than Park City) and is also one of the cheapest resorts. If you find yourself night skiing/snowboarding, Brighton has the most well-lit terrain. Also a great place to go for some fantastic hiking trails.

If you need to rent some ski gear while in the Salt Lake area, The Lifthouse is our suggestion. Great service, affordable prices, and easy access. Save yourself some money and rent gear here rather than the ski resort itself.
