This is my local bar and I feel spoiled for it. Its a cute old home that was renovated into a bar and has phenomenal cocktails, good bites, a cozy porch, and a subdued DJ rotating every night.

Its the most delicious brunch in Northeast Portland (maybe all of Portland) and is a quick walk from the house. The wait in line after 10AM is worth it!

Amazing sushi as well as all of the dishes. If you get the burger without the bun it comes with a rice ball that is flavored with something that makes me never want to go back to buns. So good!

You have to go to VooDoo donuts I think but you can avoid a line and get them at the NE location. Everyone is jealous when you carry the pink box through the airport.

Great bar and a fantastic place to eat with your vegan friends all day and into the later evening. I love their Brussels sprouts. Order the huge jar cocktails. Good thing you're just blocks away.

The beer is nationally award winning. If you have kids there is a part of the restaurant where they are genuinely welcome. The burgers are one of my favorites and a GF bun is available.

This is my favorite coffee place to walk to and get work done. The coffee is perfect and the baristas are standard hip but super friendly. I find it easy to focus and get work done there too.

You could wait two hours for Pok Pok on Division Street, or don't wait at all at this smaller location with bar and seating. The menu is smaller but has all essentials like Ike's fish sauce wings.

Tin Shed restaurant is a 15 minute walk from the house. Its the coziest place to get brunch and has food to suit any quirky diet from vegan to meat and potato to GF. Kid friendly and a dog menu too!
