Locals with cars know that the 101 is for suckers. If you forgo the Caltrain and decide to take a car to San Francisco, head down El Monte Rd & take Interstate 280 to SF instead. You won't regret it.

There's a pretty good chance while you're staying here that you will see a Google Self Driving Car drive by while you're in town. With the Googleplex just down the street, they drive by here daily.
