Best burgers on the planet!!! Order the sweet potato fries (one order can easily be shared by two people). There's also a HUGE beer list. I love this place.

My boyfriend is a pizza snob and this is his favorite pizza place (and mine). Unfortunately, they won't deliver to my house (out of range). It's only a short drive to the restaurant.

Detroit isn't exactly known for its BBQ, but this is THE place to go. Located in charming Corktown and across the street from the historic train depot, Slows always has a wait.

Every option (sliders, sides, soups and salads) is only $2-$3 so you can sample as many as you want. I like them all, but I get the poutine everytime. The cocktails are great too.

Great coney dogs and fries. I always like to sit by the window at the narrow part of the restaurant, where the streets come together. It can get crowded on game days.

World class art museum. I took art classes here as a kid and I am still mesmerized as an adult. My favorites are the Great Hall (lined with suits of armor), mummies and the Renaissance paintings.

I've been visiting this zoo since I was a kid, and it keeps getting better. Check out the butterfly house and the polar bear exhibit. A new penguin house is being built and will open next year.

A must visit! See the bus where Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat, the theater chair that Lincoln was sitting in when he was famously shot, and Edison's studio where he invented the lightbulb.
