Marta is the name of Atlanta's transportation system. Check out the website: itsmarta.com. That will give you both rail and bus info. The closest train station is College Park Train Station. This will take you right to the airport and downtown Centennial Park where a lot of the tourist attractions are.

Essentials
Not my favorite grocery store but you can't beat the convenience of it's location. Great for essential items like eggs, milk, OJ, bacon. If you are looking for better produce or organic there is a Publix grocery store on Camp Creek Parkway 5-10 minute drive.

Parks & Nature
Small neighborhood park a few blocks away. Great if you have children. There's playground equipment and area for them to run, along with a walking path / track. If into tennis, there are lighted tennis courts. Picnic area with tables and grills.

Food Scene
Used to be an old gas station, now bar / restaurant. Fun atmosphere, good food, friendly clientele and staff. Large outdoor seating area when weather is nice. Check out Trivia night Mondays 8 pm.

Greek cafe that serves breakfast all day. Good food, tasty baklava, relaxed atmosphere. Good place to meet people, study or do a little work on the computer. WIFI available.

Recently discovered this place. Sammie is the owner / chef and talented artist responsible for the eclectic atmosphere. Not a budget place but with the food quality, I think great value. Learned Sammie had a restaurant years ago on Old National then ran a B&B. The man knows food. Friendly staff. Open for dinner.

I recently had a guest who raved about this place and see it has been given good reviews. I have not been but it is super close to this house.

Drinks & Nightlife
Opens at 5pm. Nice atmosphere to relax and have a cocktail. Wednesday's there is always a dinner special often busy that night. Have not been in a long while hope it still has the charm I enjoyed.
