If you're heading to the windward side of the island, or on your way down from the North Shore, you have to stop by Waiahole Poi Factory to try real authentic Hawaiian food. For a hot day, you have to order the Sweet Lady of Waiahole: Haupia Ice Cream with Kulolo (Hawaiian pudding made with taro, coconut milk, brown sugar).
