Wonderful little bagel bakery 5 mins walk from the apartment. They open from 8am until "sold out" and have a wide selection of bagels; I just had the cheese, tomato and basil one now with tomato infused into the bread... mmmmm!

Drinks & Nightlife

This is a wonderful little event space well off the beaten track, built in an old shack. They host a lot of varied music events, and have different chefs (who all work in different restaurants in the area) come and experiment with new menus here for cheap. Very bohemian!

Shopping

Large shopping mall with all kinds of shopping available. Food, clothes, electronics and many more all under one roof. More on the "essentials" side of things than "local scene", but you should be able to find most if not all things you would need here.

Wonderful little antique shop just to the north of the house. I bought the hanging scroll there. The guy who runs it knows a little English and there are plenty of charming antiques here at all prices ranges!
