Part of the amazing Lincoln Park (a must visit), this is one of the last remaining free zoos in any city in America. No doubt, it is a perfect way to kill time on a budget. Don't forget to visit the baby gorilla :)

The beaches of Lake Michigan right in the heart of the city. This is the closest access from the apartment, but there are beaches all along Lincoln Park. If you want to check out a beach with a lot of dogs, there is a dog park at the beach which is superb for dog watching and wading.

The second largest museum in the country, next to the MET in New York. This is a fabulous trip to take. As an artist, it is a must see in my book.
