Regularly voted one of Sydney's best cafes for good reason. Excellent for brunch, lunch and coffee and also dinners Wednesday to Saturday. Best visited weekdays, they can get crazy busy on weekends. The kids will like to visit the chooks, vege garden and bee hive out back too.

The best bread in Sydney, there are often long queues on a sunny weekend morning. Get in early to avoid being bread less. Also making sensational sourdough croissants on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

A local classic, Wet Paint serves up Creole food and is reliably excellent. The Louisiana Chicken is my go to dish! They also have a 25% discount for takeaway (you will need to pick it up).

Dubbed "The People's Park" when it was opened in 1888 it is a favourite place for locals to picnic, jog, walk their dogs and enjoy nature.
If you have children a visit to the new WILD PLAY garden is a must (state of the art $4m nature play space), its free and open daily from 10am - 5pm. Take swimmers as there is a large water play area. Enter the park at the York Rd entrance for fastest access.

Be seen at the Coogee Pavilion! Where the glamorous people spend their evenings looking out to sea with a cocktail. Owned by Justin Hemmes (Sydney's famous nightclub & bar owner who owns some of the best venues in Sydney) it is very large with the ground floor devoted to a bar and family restaurant (with wood fired pizzas) and complete with kids play area, giant scrabble board and ping pong tables. Very busy at weekends.

Harris Farm Markets are scattered all over Sydney and are the best place to buy fresh fruit and vegetables (there is also one at Royal Randwick Shopping Centre) but the one at Westfield is by far the best. Newly opened in 2017.
