You don't go here for the ambiance (or the margaritas, sadly) but the pupusas are delicious and cheap! If you're up for an adventure, stop in late on a weekend for live music and cultural immersion.

The market is a little grungy & definitely smells like fish, but boy do they have great seafood. You can get a bushel of crabs for ridiculous prices, get 'em steamed with Old Bay. It's also BYOB.

Meridian Hill Park is arguably the best park in DC. If the temp is anywhere between 45 and 90, you'll find people playing sports, picnicking, walking dogs, etc. Go on Sundays for the drum circle!

The people inside this building are unfortunately unremarkable, but the building itself and the grounds are beautiful. If you don't mind waiting in line, go to the Visitor Center to catch a tour.
