New owners in 2019, regularly changing menu. Well settled in and risen to the challenge, doing a very excellent job. A great pub in a beautiful place. The food is great, the pints are cold, the sceneries stunning and the welcome is warm. Highly recommend.

Family run local institution. Great traditional fish and chips take away and now a new Pizza takeaway. They use olive oil from their family farm in Italy. Great characters on both sides of the counter. A good way to meet Dunoon and Cowal local residents.

Mount Stuart House is an amazing gothic surprise. Also worth visiting Rothesay castle, the Fernery at Asgog & the fabulous Victorian gentlemen’s toilets on the pier. Wander this seaside town to get a feel for bygone days.
