Quirky, cobbled street in Norwich (about 40 mins by car). Norwich itself is a lovely shopping centre with two malls and pretty much everything you could want to buy.

Beautiful, well cared for plants and advice if you want it. Earsham Hall is worth a look as well (check opening hours).

Interesting dress agency. Bungay is a quaint little town (only 5 minutes drive away). There is a ruined castle and independent shops. The only cashpoint is in the Post Office.

Great place if you are an RSPB member (or pay the entrance fee). Springwatch was filmed from here in the past. Lots of different habitats for the birds and wildlife.

If you want to shop a little cheaper, but go a little further (13 miles) then our nearest budget supermarket is Aldi in Diss. It is right near the Mere Park for a breath of fresh air and in the town centre. Market day in Diss is a Friday. There is a Morrisons nearby and a Tesco just along the road.

Beccles is a lovely town, with quite a few independent shops. It also has a Tesco, Morrisons and Iceland. A walk by the river can be combined with some shopping. Drive to the Quay first (free parking) for the walk. Parking at Tesco is free for 2 hours so you can combine popping into the town centre with grocery shopping. Lidl is a little further out so not so easy to walk into town, so a visit as you head back, is probably best. It opened in Dec 2019.
