The biggest park in the area w/beautiful views of the Statue of liberty and Ellis Island. Tips from an article about the park: Take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, which is available at the park. The park features a multitude of activities and its visitors' and interpretive centers provide historical background information. There is boating and canoeing on the Hudson River and New York Bay, plus picnic areas, a playground, food concessions, areas for fishing and crabbing and a marina. The park also features trails for hiking, biking, nature walks and fitness and it's the site of spectacular Fourth of July fireworks.

Prime Market has staples, but not extensive perishable items. There is a small selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, but mostly a go-to for snacks, milk, and pantry items like coffee, honey, aluminum foil, etc. If you arrive late and just need to grab a few items to hold you over, this is the right place.
