Just take a book and go on the Freccia del Mare, the train that take you from Ostia Central Station Lido Centro to Piramide, the last stop from where you are already near the centre of Rome.From Piramide you can take the tube or take a taxi. It does not take a life to visit this historical city, but i definitely suggest Vatican Museum and S. Peter Church, have a walk in Trastevere, Piazza di Spagna, and all the centre. Circo Maximum and old ruins are 1 km away from Piramide station. Check concerts in Caracalla during Summer, if you are interested in Opera is it very suggesting

I love this place, is near the river not near the sea, but just 15 minutes by car from my house. I go there during the weekends when beaches are full and I do not love it. Fish is good!

Open every day, it is perfect for food, veggies and fish. Go early in the morning because it closes at 13.00. Very cheap and good food, and typical italian :)
